About Us Buckeye Hospice
Buckeye Hospice was founded in 2015 with a clear purpose: to redefine what it means to deliver compassionate, dependable hospice care.
Our story began when Bryan Casey, one of our founders, was serving as an administrator in a skilled nursing facility. He noticed that his team seldom utilized hospice services, and when he asked why, their answer revealed a troubling pattern. Hospice providers would admit patients but often failed to follow through, leaving the skilled nursing staff to manage the care on their own. Hospice received the payment, but the facility team carried the responsibility, creating frustration, burnout, and a lack of trust in the system.
That same situation soon unfolded before Bryan’s eyes, confirming what his team had long experienced. It was in that moment that he recognized both an opportunity and a calling to build a hospice that would do better. One that would truly show up, keep its word, and support not only patients and families but also the caregivers who serve them.
Buckeye Hospice was born from that vision to create a model of care centered on reliability, integrity, and heart. From day one, our mission has been to provide exceptional, compassionate, and consistent care to every patient we serve while strengthening the partnerships that make that care possible.
Today, Buckeye Hospice proudly serves communities across Ohio, with a special focus on expanding access to care in rural and underserved markets.
